Meditation starting again
After a short break we are once again starting with weekly meditation lessons this Thursday at 7.30pm. These lessons are a chance for you to experience a variety of meditations from a number of different philosophies such as Buddhism, Hinduism, American Indian, Hawaian and modern psychology.
We are also starting study groups and organising weekend retreats, so see below for more information.
Thank you to Rinpoche
Lama Choedak Rinpoche last Thursday addressed a packed hall of over 130 people to talk about a subject most of us consider as taboo - Death. But such is the magic of this great Tibetan Lama that instead of being morbid he had us all in stitches.
In fact, as Rinpoche taught us, our impending death can be considered as motivation to live life to the full and more importantly, to forgive and make peace with all those we have faught with in the past. Life is too short to hold grudges or animosity towards others. And if that person is a member of our family, then all the more reason to re-connect before that opportunity is lost forever.
So, on behalf of everyone that was there, we thank Rinpoche for his words of wisdom and the time he spent with us and hope that he returns again next year.
