Skillful MIND Meditation Leaders

Emma

I’m Emma, and I have participated in a range of retreats through Skillful MIND as well as my own personal practice. I have been listening to focused relaxation and meditation for years before bed but the retreats and groups have really helped me to expand the range of meditation options.

Emma

I also work in the social services industry and find that meditation is important as part of a process for reflection and self-care. The compassion meditation is really important to reflect on what we can do for the world.

I find meditation beneficial for relaxation, for improving focus and concentration as well as for increasing compassion and kindness. I’m interested in learning a range of meditation techniques and activities-there’s always something new to learn!

Outside of meditation, I enjoy participating in yoga classes and walking in a variety of locations as well as visiting markets and cooking local food. I am fortunate to live by the beach and find that the beach and the ocean can be meditative in themselves. I enjoy reading on a range of topics, both fiction and non-fiction. You will soon discover that my favourite colour is purple and whilst I can be an introvert, once I get talking on a topic I can talk for hours. Looking forward to meeting you somewhere along your meditation journey.

Fay

Fay

Fay is a reflexologist, aromatherapist and oneness blessing giver she began her spiritual journey and an exploration of the practice of meditation after attending a seminar in 2005 hosted by Michael Domeyko Rowland author of the book Absolute Happiness. This is where she discovered for the first time a clear understanding of the benefits meditation and was given her first an introduction into the technique of classical meditation. This was life changing and set forth a spiral of events along her spiritual path in turn leading her to the Skillful MIND philosophy and practice.

Through the experience of life adversity these teachings have been a great support and have created in fay a desire to share the many benefits of regular meditation practice with the community As a strong believer in the natural health and wellbeing and the power of the mind fay has explored many forms of meditation and spiritual practice from a range of cultures.

Drawn to ritualistic practice in Hindu philosophy she has been fortunate enough to have spent time in one of the many ashrams in India and has also visited many of the very beautiful Shinto Buddhism shrines of japan. She will be hosting regular refresh session from her reflexology treatment room in Brighton.
