I am a kid’s yoga teacher and a mum to a beautiful son with autism and two awesome step-kids. I began teaching yoga and meditation to kids as my passion is to help anyone experiencing mental health issues, particular kids with autism/Aspergers/ADHD and sensory issues. In my kids' yoga classes I do a short meditation, which the kids absolutely love!
I first started meditating when I was fourteen because I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and was experiencing chronic headaches. My mum took me to a hypnotherapist and from there I have had a strong passion for meditation, as I adored the benefits. From my own experiences of mental health, I completed my bachelor of registered nursing and then completed my graduate diploma in mental health nursing. I love my job helping others by working in mental health, and now I am on my journey of owning my own business teaching yoga and meditation to kids and teaching meditation to teenagers and adults. I am a deeply spiritual person and the world needs more compassion- meditation teaches this and with regular practice, it helps the self, the planet, and the universe!
I attended Peter and Mardi’s yoga and meditation retreat in September 2017 and I gained so much knowledge and insight at this retreat. I was able to expand my knowledge on meditation by learning new techniques, and I learned about kundalini yoga. I aspire to complete kundalini yoga teaching and expand my drive to help others develop themselves through yoga and meditation. Depression and anxiety are at an all-time high in western society, and if people can learn how to meditate, the benefits of mindfulness, and even yoga, people will gain a better understanding of themselves and be able to handle life in a much more peaceful manner.
